The bible is full of history, life stories, prophecies, laws and commandments, teachings about God and humans. It is a library with so many details.
Some people study the bible and get lost in the details, but Jesus and the apostles had to repeatedly remind people then, and us today, that the details must not distract us.
The main thing must be the main thing.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Jn 3:16–17 NIV
God created a perfect world but the first man and woman rejected God and ruined his creation. We have all gone wrong and we need forgiveness, God sent is Son to take God’s punishment on Himself, so God could justly punish evil but have mercy on us all.
The bible experts who saw Jesus face to face simply refused to believe.
You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me,
yet you refuse to come to me to have life. Jn 5:39–40 NIV
We can be so full of detailed knowledge, that we are blind to the most important things.
Paul planted the Christian faith in the important pagan city of Ephesus. It was difficult because Ephesus was dominated by a pagan cult. People worshipped the goddess Artemis. Many believed that the goddess Artemis came down from heaven and created women before men.
After Ephesian pagans were converted, they continued to be fascinated with myths and legends, some pagan and perhaps also some of Jewish origin.
Paul had left Timothy in charge of the church in Ephesus. He wrote two letters to Timothy with instructions about how to deal with theological confusion and wrong teachings. He wrote that believers must not get sidetracked with speculative theories or detailed stories.
Don’t let them waste their time in endless discussion of myths and spiritual pedigrees. These things only lead to meaningless speculations, which don’t help people live a life of faith in God.
The purpose of my instruction is that all believers would be filled with love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and genuine faith. 1 Tim 1:4–5 NLT
God is love.
Many doctrinal obsessions can distract us from the love of God.
Paul also wrote to the church in Rome.
Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarrelling over disputable matters.
One person’s faith allows them to eat anything, but another, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables.
The one who eats everything must not treat with contempt the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted them. Rom 14:1–3 NIV
Christians argue about the Sabbath, or whether we should eat pork. Some Christians are so busy debating or judging other Christians, that Christian love becomes nothing more than a neglected doctrine.

Don't Let Religious Details Distract You

God Wants to Help You
Jesus wants to bless you a lot, not just a little here and there. He wants to help you. You may have read this idea in the Bible or heard it in a sermon.
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly. Jn 10:10 NASB95
You are a believing Christian. You believe in the Bible, but somehow you experience blessings here and there, but also frustration.
Today God wants to encourage you. He wants to refresh the dry areas of your life.
Imagine you have fruit trees. Some are thriving and bearing fruit, but others are just leaves.
At home you find love, but at the office you find frustration, or maybe vice versa.
In your private prayer time you find joy and peace, but in church you find stress.
Everything in your life matters to Jesus. Nothing is unimportant because God loves you completely.
God wants to help you in the difficult areas of your life.
He is waiting for your cry for help.
‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’ Jer 33:3 NASB95

God loves you. God is Love.
I want my blogs to reflect not only my thoughts but to share what God wants to say.
One day I asked God, ‘What is on your heart today, dear God?
I heard the answer in my heart, I should write that God loves you.
‘I love you, I love you, I love you.’
You may have read in the Bible that God loves the world, and that God loves everyone.
But the love of God is not just a doctrinal truth. God feels love for you right now and every moment of every day.
God wants you to receive and experience His love. God is not a long-dead great-grandfather who left his fortune to his heirs because he loved his family.
Many preachers teach that God loves all people, but you just have to believe what the Bible says, live virtuously and hope that when you die you might fly to God's heaven.
God may have prepared a much better world for us in heaven, but God is not far away. God is here with you. He wants you to get to know Him personally here and now.
God not only loves all people. He loves every single person with the tenderness of a mother with her baby, with the holy passion of a loving bridegroom.
In God's eyes, you are not just a specimen of humanity. You are you. He loves you, especially you.
Here are some Bible verses that explain God's love.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Jn 3:16 NIV
This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 1 Jn 4:10 NIV
And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. 1 Jn 4:16 NIV
God is love.

God's Supernatural Love and Protection
Just as a bird spreads its wings over its young, he will always protect you and be close to you. His faithfulness surrounds you like a strong shield. Psalm 91:4 (Translated from German Hoffnung für Alle)
As a farmer was walking through his yard, he found a dead chicken. It was badly injured, obviously killed by a bird of prey. When he picked up the chicken, four chicks were still alive. The mother died saving her chicks.
When we look around us, we see a world that has come apart at the seams. Who tore this world apart? God didn't do it.
We can blame the devil, but that is only half-truth. We all need to confess that we have somehow gone wrong. We need God's forgiveness so that we don't suffer eternally separated from God and his goodness after we die.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Jn 3:16 NIV
There are many Christians who believe this. They hope to be taken up to heaven after they die, but their life on earth is only a shadow of the supernatural adventure with God that we see in the Bible.
God wants us to go deeper into His love.
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.
You can experience God's personal love in this way. But how?
“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. Mt 7:7–8 NLT
If you learn to experience God's deep love, you must expect attacks from the enemy of your soul, but those who live in close friendship with Jesus can have his supernatural protection.
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” Ps 91:1–2 NKJV
I know a woman who is familiar with God's faithful love. As she was driving home one evening, God saved her from certain death.
It was too late to brake. She could not avoid a collision. Then she felt a terrible heat. The vehicle drove through her car without making any noise, without causing any damage. It was like something out of a fantasy film.

All Christians are Called
No one who sought healing from Jesus was disappointed. No one who sought forgiveness was rejected.
The suffering of the sick aroused such compassion in Jesus that his stomach turned. Jesus healed, not just to confirm his identity as Saviour, but because he was spontaneously moved by love.
But Jesus was not satisfied with this. He knew that he was short of time, that he had to die on the cross. He had to train and equip his disciples.
Jesus was never satisfied with average religious results. He knew that all people, Jews and non-Jews, would suffer in hell without repentance and forgiveness.
… he wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 1 Tim 2:4 NET
Jesus knew that many would not believe and that countless people would never believe, but he wanted to save as many people as possible.
In Luke 9, he sent 12 disciples as evangelists.
When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases,
and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. Lk 9:1–2 NIV
Jesus then sent 70 disciples with the same mission.
Now after this the Lord appointed seventy others, and sent them in pairs ahead of Him to every city and place where He Himself was going to come.
And He was saying to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few; therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into His harvest. Lk 10:1–2 NASB95
Heal the sick who are there and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’ Lk 10:9 NIV
Jesus wanted to heal all the sick. Why? Out of deep compassion. He loves all people.
But Jesus saw far into the future. He knew that a gospel without many miraculous healings would save some, but when people are healed en masse, many more will come to faith.
We see this today in Africa, in Islamic countries, in South America and in Asia, where millions of Muslims, atheists, Hindus and witches convert to Jesus every year.
When Jesus sent the seventy disciples, he commanded them not only to proselytise, but to ask God to raise up more missionaries.
He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. Lk 10:2 NIV
Twelve is good. Seventy is better. But there are countless people who need God's salvation.
God has raised up prominent preachers. I thank God for Billy Graham, Reinhard Bonnke and others. But there are billions of lost people in the world.
You and I are also called to proclaim God's kingdom with power.

NDE. Pastor's Son Died and Sent Back
He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds. Ps 147:3 NKJV
A pastor in England was faithful and sincere in his ministry. Then a trauma came unexpectedly, and the devoted preacher snapped.
His beloved son became seriously ill, but the pastor and his wife did not take him to the hospital immediately because it was apparently just the flu. But one evening the boy had a fever of over 40 degrees and his parents called the ambulance.
At the hospital, they realised that Jeremy's life was in danger because of a burst appendix. They had to operate.
That was the worst time of his father's life. He cried out desperately. He angrily complained to God because as a faithful Christian and pastor, he seemed unfair for God to take his son away.
Meanwhile, the little boy was very close to death in the operating theatre, but miraculously he did not die.
Seven days after the operation, Jeremy was allowed to go home and soon, he was completely healthy again.
Four months after the operation, he amazed his father.
Jeremy told his father how he had visited heaven during the operation, how he had seen angels and spoken to Jesus.
His father was sure at first that this experience was a fantasy, but then his son told him clearly and factually how he had spoken to his father's brother and his mother's sister.
His parents were shocked and wanted to know more.
This was a deep comfort to his parents. His father loved his brother as his closest friend until he died in an accident.
His mother's sister died of leukaemia when Jeremy was only three months old. His parents had been mourning in secret ever since and hadn't said anything to their son about it.
Then the father asked more about Jeremy's time in heaven.
At the end, I asked him:
‘Jeremy, did you really want to come back?’
‘No, Dad, I didn't want to come back. But Jesus came and said to me: ‘Jeremy, you can't stay here, you have to go back now. Your mummy and daddy need you.'
He told me that he had answered your prayers when you cried out angrily in the hospital waiting room.’
Toscani, Gabriel. And then there was light: 35 people, all of whom were clinically dead, tell what they saw and experienced ‘on the other side’. Some were in paradise, others in hell. (German Edition) . Kindle Edition.
“The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; Lk 4:18 NKJV

Does God have Strong Emotions?
Some men make fun of women because they have strange mood swings on certain days. Women make fun of men because they are grumpy or moody when they are hungry or sexually frustrated.
God is not moody like us. God is not ruled by emotions and is not driven to and fro by hormones.
In the first centuries of the Christian era, many educated Greeks converted to Jesus. They tried to explain biblical revelation with the logical thinking of Greek philosophy.
In the Bible we see that God's character is perfect and flawless.
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. Jas 1:17 NIV
If God is unchanging, he should not feel strong emotions. Those who react emotionally to experiences change as a result. So goes this philosophical train of thought.
But everywhere in the Bible we find that God reacts to people with joy, sorrow, tender love or anger.
The LORD your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” Zep 3:17 NKJV
God is not moody like us. He is not driven back and forth by his feelings. He remains unwavering in his character, which is unchanging, but God is love.
Without strong feelings, love is merely a theological concept. God is not made up of theological ideas.
God is not an abstract idea. God loves you. His love is an eternally blazing fire.

Seeing as God Sees
When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” Jn 8:12 NIV
When we have the light of life, we can see clearly. Few people are actually blind but different people can look at the same scene and understand it very differently.
For example, three men see a prostitute on the street. One man feels excited and strongly attracted.
Another man sees a despicable, sinful woman who should burn in hell.
A third man sees a woman who has suffered much, who could have a new life through God's love.
Unfortunately, there are some Christians who think like the second man and condemn the sinful woman, but Jesus was not like that.
In the same chapter of the Gospel of John, we see self-righteous religious men who brought a woman to Jesus.
The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group. Jn 8:3 NIV
The religious men wanted to stone her and execute her, but Jesus did not see an evil woman, but rather a woman in deep need, a woman who needed his love and salvation. He also saw the terrible injustice and unkindness of the men. Where was the man?
We may already know the story well. Jesus said that the man without sin should hurl the first stone. All the men recognised their own guilt and walked away.
While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew’s house, many tax collectors and sinners came and ate with him and his disciples.
When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”
On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. Mt 9:10–12 NIV
The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and you say, ‘Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’ Lk 7:34 NIV
John Dawson was the leader of Youth With A Mission in Los Angeles. Like Jesus, he did not despise anyone because of their sins.
John Dawson wanted to lead a man to conversion. This man had a pornography business. John Dawson had breakfast with this man every Wednesday and explained the gospel until he understood everything, but he was not ready to give his life to Jesus.
Then John Dawson received a special insight from God. He saw that this man had the gift from God to share comfort, but porn was only apparent comfort and not truly satisfying.
He told the man that he had the gift of mercy and God wanted to transform his life so that he would provide real comfort. The man was ready to receive this insight from God and he was converted on the spot.
Are you ready to see with God's eyes?
Are you ready to recognise your own potential through God's eyes?
Are you ready to look at bad people with God's eyes of love?

Desires. Good or Bad
Are strong desires sinful?
The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery; You shall not murder; You shall not steal; You shall not covet”; and any other commandment, are summed up in this word, “Love your neighbour as yourself.” Rom 13:9 NRSV
Coveting is forbidden, of course.
But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart. Mt 5:28 NRSV
But is strong desire always sinful? This idea is more Buddhist than Christian, although St Augustine disapproved of strong desire and passions of any kind. We need to consider that Augustine was influenced by Greek philosophy and his own guilt complexes.
Sadly, Western Christianity has often been unduly influenced by Augustine’s writings.
But maybe you are single. You are in love and want to get married. If your heart is not burning for your beloved, you are not right in your soul.
Longing comes from God, but longing can be good or bad. If we believe in Jesus, we must not be like the Buddhists who reject all longing, who want to live without longing at all.
Greed and fornication are certainly forbidden by God, but Jesus himself was a man with a strong desire in his heart.
Then He said to them, “With fervent desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer; Lk 22:15 NKJV
God is love and his love is not cold love.
With Paul, God's love was like a blazing fire.
I tell the truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Spirit,
that I have great sorrow and continual grief in my heart.
For I could wish that I myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my countrymen according to the flesh, Rom 9:1–3 NKJV
If you don't have deep longings, your soul isn't quite right.
God wants to release healthy desires in your heart.
Near Death Experiences
I love reading testimonies of near-death experiences. Medical science has advanced so far in recent times that many seriously ill patients are being resuscitated who would not have come back in the past.
Many of these patients had clear memories of their experiences in the afterlife, but many had none.
There are many sceptics who declare such experiences dubious or impossible on theological or scientific grounds.
Some claim that the extremely dramatic narratives must be symptoms of brain damage.
Anyone who is clinically dead for more than a few minutes will suffer serious brain damage, but there are people who have been clinically dead for 90 minutes, 8 hours or two days and functioned normally after recovery.
After returning to life, many resuscitated patients tell how they have spoken with God or Jesus. Many tell of encounters with deceased relatives.
One reads again and again in these testimonies that the clinically dead person wants to remain in the wonderful afterlife. Sometimes the person has to make a decision and sometimes not.
Again and again we read that the clinically dead person has a God-given task on earth. This task has not yet been fulfilled and they must therefore return to this life.
After their return to earthly life, many near-death patients have had a new awareness that their life has a meaning.
They have experienced the immeasurably deep love of God in the afterlife. They know that pure love reigns at the centre of the universe. They know that they themselves are loved beyond measure.
What is the meaning of your life?
Many people don't know. Maybe you don't either.
Do you have to die and come back to find the meaning of your life?
The God who radiates love, who many have met in the afterlife, can also be found here in this life.
Have you met God yourself?
For many, the Bible is just a religious textbook, but if you read the Bible with the intention of meeting God yourself, you can find God in the Bible.
An Indian woman attended a church service. Afterwards she started reading the New Testament. She found it interesting, but she didn't understand much.
One evening after reading the Bible, she wanted to go to sleep, but then Jesus himself entered her room.
He spoke to her and she believed. She was no longer a Hindu.
Jesus died on the cross, but he came back. He is with you right now. You can talk to Him.
Seek the LORD while he may be found, call upon him while he is near; Is 55:6 NRSV
Only in the Bible is the God of Love
Only in the Bible do you find an almighty God who loves you with all his heart.
And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. 1 Jn 4:16 NIV
The God in the Koran is Creator and Judge, but there is no Father God in the Islamic scriptures.
Only in the Bible do you find an almighty God who loves all people.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Jn 3:16 NIV
This is good, and pleases God our Savior,
who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 1 Ti 2:3–4 NIV
Only in the Bible do you find an almighty God who loves his enemies.
Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” .. Lk 23:34 NIV
This is how Jesus prayed when he was hanging on the cross and dying.
For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! Ro 5:10 NIV
Only in the Bible do we find an eternal, almighty Father God who sacrifices his eternal Son to pay our debts so that we can have eternal heavenly life through repentance and faith.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Ro 6:23 NIV

Finding the Love of God
We can so easily get confused about this.
You look at your life, and you match what you see against the high standards of religious virtue. You start to think of God as a fearsome judge, and you hide from Him.
Or you look around, and you think, if there is a God, how could he be good, to make a world so full of cruelty and suffering?
You look away from humanity in horror and see the glory and beauty of nature, so you long to be in harmony with the mysterious spiritual essence permeating all that beauty.
Love and relationships always disappoint you, so you despair of finding a personal God. Often people let you down and sometimes the church that preaches a personal God is no better, sometimes but not always.
With the limitations of our faulty human nature, there is no way out of this confused mess.
As children, we enjoyed the love of our mother and father, or if not, we longed to have such a love. We heard stories where people lived happily ever after, and we wanted them to be true.
There is no way out and no way home to the dreams of our childhood.
But as I grew older, I found there were at least some people who had found love and peace and a heavenly hope that was not just shallow religion. Of course, I was confused and disappointed by much of what I saw in Christian churches, but I longed for something better.
I didn’t find it in the worship of natural beauty or in yoga or poetry. I didn’t find it in psychology or religion.
I found it in the lives of some people who followed Jesus.
They were full of love and they accepted me. When I was with them, I felt a warm glow like an aura, a spiritual fragrance in the atmosphere.
I felt a spiritual presence far warmer and sweeter and more comforting than the spiritual atmosphere around New Age people. There was a comfort that was real and inviting, far better than anything I had ever known.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,
who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 2 Co 1:3–4 NASB95

God Transforms your Past
“Do not be afraid; you will not be put to shame. Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated. You will forget the shame of your youth and remember no more the reproach of your widowhood. Is 54:4 NIV
God remembers everything in your life, the good, the bad and the ugly.
But doesn't the Bible say that God forgets your sins when he forgives you?
God chooses not to consider your forgiven sin as sin. But God keeps a record of everything in your history for a different purpose.
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Ro 8:28 NIV
God keeps a record of your whole life to heal the wounds in your soul.
Better yet, God uses the wrong and traumatic experiences in your life to bless you and others.
When Moses died, Joshua took over the leadership of Israel.
Before the Israelites miraculously crossed the Jordan, Joshua sent spies to Jericho.
They narrowly escaped capture when they fled to a brothel. The prostitute Rahab protected them because she believed in the God of Israel.
When the city of Jericho fell, Rahab's house was preserved and she was welcomed in Israel as a convert to the true God.
She became the grandmother of King David's grandfather.
Rahab is one of only four women listed in Jesus' family tree in the Gospel of Matthew.
Jesus said to the self-righteous Jewish religious leaders:
... “Truly I tell you, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you. Mt 21:31 NIV
How many prostitutes have been encouraged by the story of Rahab to respond to God's love?
God uses the records of our past lives to bless us and others.
I once heard a very interesting preacher. He told the story of a church made up mostly of converted former prostitutes. They were wonderful street evangelists.
As prostitutes, they had pursued men with shameless boldness. God used that same shameless boldness to make them marvellous evangelists.
God forgets the sinfulness of your sin, but He uses your sinful past to bring about amazing miracles.

Near Death Experience. God Sent her Back
I filled the sink with cold water, held my left arm in, put the knife to my wrist, sobbed and stammered in tears: ‘Please God, forgive me, but I have no strength left.’
Toscani, Gabriel. And then there was light: 35 people, all of whom were clinically dead, talk about what they saw and experienced ‘on the other side’. Some were in paradise, others in hell. (German Edition) . Kindle Edition.
Instead of leaving all my problems behind me, as I had intended to do with my suicide, my soul was now transformed into a being of fear, pain and total isolation....
The only thing that interested me in my burning agony was that Jesus Christ was born on earth. And here I was, trapped in this world of suffering and torment, and all that mattered to me was my remorse that I had never confessed Jesus in my life, that I had never believed in a Creator.
Toscani, Gabriel. And then there was light: (German Edition) . Kindle Edition.
The miraculous thing about my story is how God's love brought me back to earth. How he heard me when I pleaded with him before I cut my wrist. And that in my anger, despair and pain, he heard my plea for forgiveness and did not send me to this hell.
Toscani, Gabriel. And then there was light: (Und dann war Licht… German Edition) . Kindle Edition.

Expect Good Things from God
God has good plans for me today. God has a good plan for you today.
A preacher was praying one day, when God spoke to him.
“Tell the people to expect good things from God. Tell them something good is going to happen today.”
God is for you and not against you.
What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Ro 8:31–33 NIV
Some will doubt if God loves them. They may have grown up in a religious tradition which teaches that God chose some to be saved and others to condemn. Your fate is already determined
But Jesus died for you. Jesus died to save us from our sins, to rescue us from our guilt and punishment.
But does this mean that God loves everyone? What if you are not one of the chosen ones?
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Jn 3:16 NIV
Who did God love? The world. Who does that include? Everyone in the world.
Who did Jesus die to save?
He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world. 1 Jn 2:2 NIV
Jesus died for you.
What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
Ro 8:31–32 NIV
God is for you, not against you.
If you have problems today, God wants to help you.
If you are sick, God wants to heal you.
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. Jn 10:10 NIV
God is not making you sick. He wants you to be well.
God does not want you to be anxious or confused. He wants you to be full of hope and clear thinking.
You can pray to God, read your bible and say with confidence.
“God loves me. Something good is going to happen to me today.”

Jesus and the World Religions.
And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. 1 John 4:16 (NIV)
The God in the Qur'an is the creator and judge, but in the Islamic scriptures there is no Father God.
For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. Lk 12:29-30 (NIV)
Only in the Bible do you find an almighty God who loves absolutely every human being.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 (NIV)
This is good, and it pleases God our Saviour,
who wants everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 1 Tim 2:3-4 CSB17
Then Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, because they do not know what they are doing." And they divided his clothes and cast lots. Lk 23:34 CSB17
This is how Jesus prayed when he was dying in agony on the cross.
For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, then how much more, having been reconciled, will we be saved by his life. Rom 5:10 CSB17
Only in the Bible do we find an eternal almighty Father God, who sacrifices his eternal Son to pay for all our sins so that we can have eternal life through repentance and faith.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Rom 6:23 CSB17
